Volvo V40 will be launched on June 14

The Swedish carmaker will bring two motors to India for the V40 Cross Country, a 180bhp T4 petrol engine and a five-cylinder 148bhp D3 diesel mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox.

It will also be equipped with the world’s first pedestrian airbag technology and is also the only car in its class to be available with Pedestrian Detection Technology.
The V40 is expected to cost upwards of Rs. 25 lakh (ex-showroom), and will compete with the upcoming Mercedes A-class as well as the BMW X1 and Audi Q3.
